Where structural design meets extreme loading
As protective structures take on more demanding roles in defence, critical infrastructure and dense urban environments, understanding how they behave under blast, impact, shock and fire has become a defining engineering challenge.
The DAPS conference series was inaugurated in Tokyo, Japan, in 2003, and has since been held in Singapore (2006, 2010 and 2015), Jeju, Korea (2012), Melbourne, Australia (2017), and Seoul, Korea (2019). Over the years, the conference has established itself as an international platform for researchers and practitioners to exchange advances in protective structures and protective engineering. DAPS 2027 marks the 8th edition of the conference and returns to Singapore.

Four plenary lectures
Hong HAO, Jie YANG, Nemkumar BANTHIA and Guoxing LU, from institutions in Australia, Canada and China.
