1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the website at daps2027.org, and your registration for and participation in the 8th International Conference on Design and Analysis of Protective Structures (“DAPS2027”, “the Conference”), organised by the NTU CEE Alumni Association (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By using this website, submitting an abstract or paper, or registering for the Conference, you agree to these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or register for the Conference.
2. Use of this website
You may view, download and print content from this website for your own personal, non-commercial reference in connection with the Conference. You must not:
– use the website for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
– attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or any connected system;
– introduce malicious code, or interfere with the operation, security or availability of the website;
– use automated means to scrape, harvest or extract data, including delegate, author or committee contact details;
– reproduce, republish or redistribute website content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the content of this website, including text, layout, graphics, logos, images and design, is owned by or licensed to the NTU CEE Alumni Association and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The DAPS2027 name and logo, and the marks of Nanyang Technological University and of sponsors, exhibitors and partner organisations, remain the property of their respective owners and may not be used without permission.
4. Abstract and paper submissions
Abstracts, full papers and final manuscripts are submitted through Oxford Abstracts and are subject to that platform’s own terms and privacy policy in addition to these Terms of Use.
By submitting to DAPS2027, you represent and warrant that:
– the submission is your own original work, or that you have obtained all necessary rights and permissions;
– the submission does not infringe the intellectual property, confidentiality or other rights of any third party;
– all named co-authors have consented to the submission and to publication;
– you have obtained any clearance required by your employer, institution, client or any government authority before disclosing the material, including in respect of classified, restricted or export-controlled information; and
– the submission does not contain defamatory, unlawful or otherwise objectionable material.
Authors retain copyright in their submissions. By submitting, you grant the Organising Committee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, publish, distribute and display the submission (and an abstract of it) in the Conference proceedings, programme, website and related Conference materials, in print and electronic form.
Acceptance of a submission is at the discretion of the programme committee. Presentation of an accepted paper at the Conference is conditional on at least one author completing registration and payment by the stated deadline.
5. Registration and fees
Registration is confirmed only upon our receipt of full payment and issue of a written confirmation. Registration fees, categories and deadlines are as published on this website and may be varied before you register.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store payment card details. You are responsible for any bank charges, currency conversion costs or transaction fees imposed by your card issuer or bank.
Registration fees cover the items specified in the registration category description only. Travel, accommodation, visa costs, insurance and incidental expenses are the responsibility of the participant.
6. Cancellations, refunds and substitutions
All registration fees are non-refundable. Once payment has been made, no refund will be given if the participant cancels, does not attend, arrives late, departs early, or is unable to obtain a visa or travel approval.
Our liability in the event of cancellation, postponement or relocation of the Conference including where this arises from circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest, epidemics or pandemics, government restrictions, or other force majeure events, is limited to the registration fee paid. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by participants.
7. Conduct at the Conference
Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully and to comply with the instructions of the Organising Committee and venue management, and with venue rules and applicable law. We reserve the right to refuse admission to, or to remove from the venue, any person whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, unlawful or harassing, without refund.
8. Recording and photography
Photography, audio and video recording may be carried out by the Organising Committee during the Conference, and such material may be used in Conference and promotional materials as described in the Privacy Policy. Unauthorised recording, photography or live-streaming of Conference sessions by participants is not permitted without the prior written consent of the Organising Committee and the presenter concerned.
9. Right to refuse or cancel registration
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any registration at our discretion, including where information provided is false or incomplete, where payment is not received or is reversed, or where acceptance would breach applicable law or sanctions. Where we cancel a registration for these reasons, our liability is limited to a refund of the fee paid.
10. Third-party services and links
This website links to and relies upon third-party services, including Oxford Abstracts and Stripe. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, performance or practices of any third-party service.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Your use of this website and participation in the Conference is subject to the Disclaimer, which limits our liability to the extent permitted by law and forms part of these Terms of Use.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by posting an updated version on this page. The version in force at the time of your registration governs that registration. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
